ORLANDO, FL (August 31, 2015) – This past weekend a team of riders representing Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC) competed in the 2015 National Points Chase Championships presented by Rockstar Energy at Terminus Wake Park in Cartersville, Georgia.
Founded in 2010, The National Points Chase consists of two weekly series (Traditional & Features Only) hosted throughout the summer at cable wake parks across the United States. The final event of the season, the National Points Championship is the largest cable wakeboard event in the United States. Competing against over 335 riders representing 20 cable parks, Team OWC took 1st in both Traditional and Features, edging out longtime rival Texas Ski Ranch.
Competition began on Thursday with Traditional Cable qualifying rounds where OWC took an early lead. Making it through semis on Friday, 12 riders in five divisions represented OWC in Finals on Saturday where five riders took podium placements.
Team OWC swept the Amateur Wakeskate podium with Austin Armstrong in 1st, Daniel Pons in 2nd, and Dillion Dreiling in 3rd. Brothers Trent and Gavin Stuckey absolutely dominated the BoardCo From Attack Kicker Contest taking 1st and 3rd, respectively. Judson Sink placed 2nd in Beginner Wakeboard and Team Captain Theo Koester placed 2nd in Advanced Wakeboard.
Team OWC continued dominating the competition in the Features Only and Traditional Pro Finals on Sunday where 12 riders earned podium placements including first place titles in seven of the ten divisions.

Aktion Parks Manager Ryan Malone stated, “We are absolutely thrilled to be taking home trophies for both major Points Chase competitions! The atmosphere at the event was electric and it was great to see our team pull together and dominate the competition.”
Team Captain Theo Koester added, “It’s great to bring home a win but the time we share on and off the water is even better. We are very fortunate to be supported by Aktion Parks and all the riders and families that supported the OWC Team to make it to Nationals – without them, none of this would be possible.”
