ORLANDO, FL (September 20, 2019) – Over the weekend, 14 of the top teams in college wakeboarding made their way to Orlando Watersports Complex for the 2019 USA Wakeboard Collegiate National Championships.

The event was broken up into two days of riding with over 110 riders between the two disciplines, boat and cable. Schools that attended were: University of Central Florida, The University of Wisconsin, Arizona State University, Texas State, Baylor University, Rollins College, Texas A&M University, Michigan State, The University of Southern Florida, The University of Miami, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, Stephen F. Austin, and The University of Florida.

The University of Central Florida (UCF) won both events for the collegiate boat and cable nationals behind the award winning Nautique boats at their home park. All of the UCF riders ended up placing first giving them a perfect score and their second National Title of the weekend.

It was a very close battle for 2nd place between the UF’s Gator Wake and TAMU’s team. In the end UF barely beat TAMU to secure the silver with TAMU third. Knights Wake now owns the undisputed overall championship title in college wakeboarding.
